About
A curious designer who knows "it just works" is never an accident.
I'm Jemma — a UX/UI designer based in South Africa. I care about the small moments in a product: the friction you didn't notice you were carrying, the button that finally lands where your thumb expected, the flow that quietly goes your way.
My work is half research, half craft. I like starting with the messy question — who is this really for, and what are they actually trying to do? — and following it all the way through wireframes, prototypes, and polished UI. I've designed for conservation, hospitality, and product-led growth, and I'm happiest when the brief pulls me somewhere new.
Outside of Figma, you'll often find me seeking inspiration in the world around me through travel, nature, surfing, or exploring my own creative hobbies. I'm fascinated by how people think and love solving problems, which brings a thoughtful and empathetic lens to my design process. I'm always looking for new ways to create meaningful, intuitive experiences that make a real impact.
